I woke up this morning without electricity, so I had to put this off for a few hours. It's back on now, but the forcast says we're going to get some heavy snow... I hope it doesn't weigh down the power lines.
Yesterday, I made a cardboard template for the ring and triangle and was going to paper mache it, but I ended up making my Millennium Ring out of, what I've used on all my items thus far (though not all of my items are made completely out of it), salt dough. I'm really pleased with how it's turning out.
thankyou, you have given me hope for making one of these, me and my friend are dressing up as Bakura and Marik for a talent show (we are singing leather pants) and I have to make a rod and a ring, you've given me hope and insperation which equals insta fave

I'm here to kick ass and drink cups of tea... and I'm all out of tea!
The striped shirt was the hardest thing for me to find. Most of them had collars, pockets/emblems, thin stripes, or had grey gaps instead of white. It took about 4 months before I could finally find one that would work (though it was long-sleeve, so I had to cut them).
It's a shame that this one has light blue gaps instead of white gaps. If they had been white, it would have been perfect (I thought they were white until I read the description). [link]
Salt dough is basically home-made Play-Doh. Just takes flour, salt, and water. When it hardens, it's almost like baked clay (though salt dough can harden without baking it). Many people (around here, anyway) use this recipe to make home-made Christmas ornaments. I think the main reason they add the large amount of salt is to keep bugs from eating it.
Dunno if you saw the final result or not, but it can be found here: [link]
